American eagle gold bullion coins
Authorized by Congress in 1985 and first produced by the US mint in 1986, the American eagle gold bullion coins have been popular with collectors ever since. Available in $50 dollar 1 oz., $25 dollar ½ oz., $10 dollar ¼ oz., $5 dollar 1/10 oz. denominations. Each coin is minted in 22 karat gold and contains 2 parts silver/copper. 91.67% fine gold. Gold is measured in units of 24. Gold is a very soft metal and scratches and scars easily. The silver and copper mixture helps give the coin stability and lasting beauty.

The obverse side of the coin (front) depicts the famous Saint-Gaudens design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens from the twenty dollar gold pieces minted between 1907 and 1933. The reverse side (back) features a nest of eagles, symbols of America’s family traditions.

The only gold bullion coin guaranteed by the US government as to the weight and gold content of the coin.
